Dr. Martin Passen graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Biology and Psychology from Tufts University in 1986. He graduated from The University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore in 1990, and completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at University of Maryland Medical Center in 1993. Dr. Passen was subsequently selected as a Chief Resident for Internal Medicine (1993-1994) and elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Since then Dr. Passen has been in the private practice of Internal Medicine in Baltimore, Owings Mills, and Lutherville, Maryland. In July of 2009 he closed his Primary Care practice to focus full time on weight loss medicine.
Dr. Passen is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity (weight loss) Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Obesity Medicine Association, and is a past president of the University of Maryland Medical School Alumni Association. Dr. Passen resides in the Baltimore area, and also enjoys skiing, golf, exercising, coaching soccer, and spending time with his family.
